Character Creation
- Standard array 14, 12, 11, 10, 9, 7
- One +2 to distribute to any 1 stat
- HP - Reroll 1 and 2 results (Dwarves automatically get max HP at level 1)
- All Cursed Scroll Classes, Spells, and Equipment are available
New Characters
- Same rules as above but start at current party level with 0 XP
Respecs
- If you wish to respec your character, you can. Use regular character creation rules
- If the character is above level 1, reset XP to 0
- Use Leveling Up rules (see below) as needed
Leveling Up
- Leveling up occurs during Rests and Downtime
- At levels 3 and 7 you may use this alternate HP method: Roll all hit dice, including the new level and add CON
- If greater than current HP, this is your new HP total
- If less than current HP, +1 to your HP total

Rulings
Backgrounds
If a background would give you an edge in a check the DC will be lowered or you will automatically succeed.
Spells and Abilities
- Cannot gain over 4 Luck tokens
Downtime
- Downtime is at least a week between adventures
- Downtime activities include Learning (Core rules) and the options in Cursed Scroll 6
- Cost of living during downtime is 1 GP per day
Carousing
- Use tables in Cursed Scroll 6
- Some villages and hamlets are too small for Carousing
Magical Items
- Spells books and scrolls take 1 day to identify but do not impact ability to take a downtime action. If Phane has 3 scrolls it would take him 3 days to know what they do but Phane can still take a downtime action, say learning a spell from a scroll or Carousing
- Detect Magic will give you the general properties of a magical item but its specific use can only be determined through use and experimentation
Necromancy
A killed zombie or skeleton has enough parts to be raised after defeat by the heroes on a roll of 3-6 on a D6.
